Beating Palkia should take 3 trainers with level 40 counters of this strength. The Win % column is quoted at 3 trainers — the count the Estimator rounds up to, because at a full lobby every counter on this list wins every run and the column stops telling you anything. Top pick: Baxcalibur, Haxorus — 2 attackers inside 2.1% of each other, which is this simulator's own accuracy against pokebattler.com's published times (median 1.6% per attacker across six reference bosses). Bring any of them: the order inside this band is below what we can measure, while re-rolling the Monte Carlo seed moves a row by only 2.74%.

On a phone the list shows estimator, time to win and faints. Overall, Power, win chance, CP, DPS and TDO appear on a wider screen.

How accurate is this? Same top pick as pokebattler.com on 26 of 27 lists checked, 90% of its top tens shared; weakest on Mewtwo's default list (7 of 10).

Ranking. Our full ranking against the page pokebattler.com serves for the same boss and settings, on 27 boss and filter combinations read live (2026-10-04): 242 of 270 top-ten places shared, the same #1 on 26. On the six fixed reference bosses (read 2026-10-03): 85% top-ten overlap with its default filters, 83% with Shadow, Mega and Legendary on. A close top three is shown as a tie because the order inside it is below what we can measure.

Time to win. Graded with Pokebattler's own movesets against every boss moveset, average per boss: Tier 1 and 3 +0.1% to +1.2%; Tier 5 −2.9% to +1.3%; Mega −1.1% to +2.6%; Shadow Tier 5 −1.8% to +0.3%. One attacker can be off by more: median 1.6%, worst 15%, RMS per boss moveset 2.05%.

Known weak spots.
  • Mewtwo (Tier 5, default filters) shares 7 of Pokebattler's top 10: Absol, Incineroar and Salamence sit just outside ours, Polteageist, Cursola and Hisuian Typhlosion just inside.
  • Groudon (Tier 5, default filters) shares 7 of 10; its Grass and Water counters run 2-6% fast here.
  • Tier 5 times run about 2-3% fast for attackers that faint often, and 2-3% slow on Mega Charizard Y and Mega Beedrill, whose counters resist the boss.
  • Tier 1 lists are the least checked: Combee (Tier 1) shares only 3 of Pokebattler's top 10, with Gigalith first here where Pokebattler puts Rhyperior.

This boss on pokebattler.com. Boss-by-boss accuracy report.

PB # is pokebattler.com's own rank for the same attacker, read from its public API for this boss at these settings on 2026-09-10 and committed to this repo, so the column is its answer and not our guess at it. 25 of our 30 rows are on its 30-row list, 9 of them in both top tens; the average shared row sits 2.0 places from where it puts it, and the widest gap is Gyarados — our #14 against its #20. Its own top pick, Haxorus, is our #2 — inside the tie band above, so the two lists do not actually disagree about what to bring. Where the two disagree it is our faint model, not the times: we under-count deaths for attackers the boss hits for 2.56x, which flatters exactly those rows. Tracked in the accuracy report. You do not have to take our order while that is true — sort this table by Pokebattler's own rank and read our numbers on its rows.

What the columns mean

Power and Estimator are printed on Pokebattler's own scale, converted from our simulated time to win by the per-tier constants measured off its published rows (Tier 5 / Mega / Shadow Tier 5: within ~3% of its numbers per attacker; Tier 1 and Tier 3 are a loose fit — read the ordering there, not the digits). Faints is our own solo-trainer count and is the column that still disagrees with Pokebattler's effectiveDeaths on which attackers are bulky — the same disagreement that puts a frail attacker a few places too high on this list; that is a simulator question, tracked in the accuracy report.

Overall is time to win discounted by how much damage the attacker deals per life, so a bulkier attacker can outrank a marginally faster glass cannon — Pokebattler's own published Overall blend (“Tier 5 Raids — 50% Power, 50% Time to Win. Time to Win goal is 300s. Raid size 8”) carried onto the one scale both simulators measure. It is the default sort, as on Pokebattler, and like Pokebattler's it is taken over a random boss moveset: each attacker's moveset is chosen, and every number on its row averaged, over the boss's whole movepool, not over one boss moveset. Power is the share of the boss one attacker removes in a single life. Estimator is the number of trainers of this attacker needed to finish inside the 5:00 raid timer — it is time to win ÷ timer, so sorting on it gives the same order as sorting on Time to win. Time to win, faints and TDO are one trainer soloing the boss with a party of six, relobbying after a wipe. Win % is the share of runs that beat the timer with 3 trainers of it. Open a moveset to see every alternative the simulator scored for that attacker.

Hardest movesets to raid against

The same boss is a different fight depending on what it knows. Each row re-simulates the top 6 counters above against one specific moveset; the list is ordered hardest first, and clicking a row filters the whole page to that moveset — the ranking, the estimator and the share link all follow.

Measured over the top 6 attackers on the list above rather than by re-ranking the whole roster once per moveset — the ordering is what the table is for, and a full re-rank per moveset would cost ten times the page's whole simulation budget. Win % is the share of runs 3 trainers of those attackers finish inside the raid timer. Overall is Pokebattler's published blend on its own absolute scale (higher is easier), not a percentage of the best row the way the ranked table's Overall column is — which is why an easy boss reads well above 100% here.

Shadow, Mega and Legendary start unchecked because that is the filter state pokebattler.com serves a visitor. This boss is in the current rotation, so its ranking at these default settings was simulated ahead of time (seed 1, 50 Monte Carlo runs each) and served instantly; any other setting ranks live. The moveset table below took 0.1 s. Re-run simulation rolls a new seed and genuinely re-simulates. The same ranking, with the same cache and the same settings, is available as JSON at /api/raids/rank.
